The above group is my hilarious, welcoming, game loving, homemade ice cream making, Frogmore Stew eating, Southern family. We rented a beach house (yep, just one for all of us!) and shared a week of fun on the South Carolina coast.
Baby Mabel
This amazing group welcomed a baby girl, Mabel, into their family a few weeks ago. Clad in her mother's old baby dress, Mabel refused to miss any of the party, and she showed off her blue eyes and warm grin the whole {most of the} time. Big brother Isaac also has lots of energy⦠these two are going to be trouble.
Heather + Stanley + Brady
Heather and Stanley are expecting their new little bundle next month and sweet Brady can't wait to be a big brother. We went to one of my favorite local spots and had such a fun time. This baby is so so lucky. Keep your eyes out for Heather's new spice shop to pop up downtown Sacramento next year!
Navarre Family
Ginni and I have a lot in common: two sweet little boys, loving and involved husbands, a very similar wardrobe, and an understanding of what it means to be a "boy mom." About twenty minutes in, big brother Clayton suffered a tragic knee bonk which proved to only be remedied by potty jokes and fart sounds. Sincere apologies to all others who visited the Rock Garden that morning! Navarres, I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Janie + Andrew || Folsom Engagement
Janie and Andrew are tying the knot this fall in Amador. They are no doubt in for a life of laughter, fishing, and beautiful babies. Andrew was a Marine in the Iraq War and comes from an extremely patriotic family; "We'd like to incorporate the American Flag in a few photos," came as no surprise. Thank you Andrew for your service and for keeping us posted on the Warrior's score and thank you Janie for not taking a bad photo all evening! I can not wait for the big day!
Paulsen Family
This amazing family is moving to Eugene, Oregon in a few short days. I have loved getting to know this bi-coastal duo and their kind, intelligent little ones. Good luck with the move and with all that weather! It's going to be great.
Hiro + Kaori || Mr. & Mrs. in Point Reyes
Kaori and Hiro have been friends forever. About a year ago Kaori asked Hiro if he had ever thought about the two of them getting together and I think his response was something like, "Only every single day." Their wedding was in the backyard of Hiro's childhood home in Lafayette, CA in May. During her vows Kaori said, "Hiro, it's always been you," and there was not a dry eye in the crowd. A few weeks later, we headed to Point Reyes to get some shots of the lovebirds. Enjoy.
