One of the best parts of being a photographer is reconnecting with old friends whom I may not otherwise get to see. Mama Gita was a very talented and hilarious addition to my high school basketball team (Go Matadors, Ole!). Now she has a beautiful family and home and was even funnier than I remember.
When I walked into the home of sweet baby Cary and his parents, I was blown away by how cool it was. I shouldn't have been surprised; They have always been stylish. Felix wore fancy socks that coordinated with his tie before it was a thing, and Haruka is always polished and put together, even two weeks postpartum. Our time together was easy and fun and made me extra grateful for this incredible job I have and the kind people I have met in Sacramento.
I hope this lady will continue to go as easy on her parents as she did last week! Baby Milla is such a dream.

In my years of photographing and parenting newborns, never have I ever met a more calm and happy wee one. Ruby was a DREAM! Hoping she keeps it up all the way through her teenage years.
This amazing group welcomed a baby girl, Mabel, into their family a few weeks ago. Clad in her mother's old baby dress, Mabel refused to miss any of the party, and she showed off her blue eyes and warm grin the whole {most of the} time. Big brother Isaac also has lots of energy… these two are going to be trouble.
