These sweet faces are making the most of it, while Daddy is deployed overseas. The families of our service members are true unsung heroes. If you are an active military family, reach out and ask about my military family discount!
Baby Juliette -- Cutest baby in Chicago
When we were kids, she told me she wanted a big family… I didn’t believe her.
Second Half of 2018 - One Image Per Session
2018 was one for the books! I can confidently say that I have never been busier in my life; business was good and three kids felt like what I used to imagine 10 kids would feel like. Mix in the consistent babysitter struggle with a side of preschool volunteer commitments and you’ve got crickets on the blog front. But, here I am again, breathing slower, with a catch up blog post for you to enjoy (thanks to my new reliable babysitter!). My January calendar includes a few newborns scattered here and there, Disney photos of the preschoolers, and a lot of work/life balance (fingers crossed). Maybe I’ll even come up with a “word/phrase for the year.” Current contenders: simplify, self-care, learn to say “no”, & choose sleep. Suggestions welcome.
Below is one photo from each session/wedding since July. Perhaps the next post will cover the first half.
Gadd Family -- Sacramento Lifestyle Family Session
Moving is always bittersweet. This precious family is soaking up the final days in their current home. Although they are moving into more space and a house that they get to update in their own style, they are moving away from the home where they became a family of four, and that is a big deal. My job was to capture this moment in their family journey. I loved every second.
PS- Have you ever heard of Coffee and Crumbs? My friend Ashlee started this collaborative blog about motherhood and she's basically famous. And rules.
Baby Caden || Bay Area Newborn Session
One of the best parts of being a photographer is reconnecting with old friends whom I may not otherwise get to see. Mama Gita was a very talented and hilarious addition to my high school basketball team (Go Matadors, Ole!). Now she has a beautiful family and home and was even funnier than I remember.
Baby Cary || Davis Newborn Session
When I walked into the home of sweet baby Cary and his parents, I was blown away by how cool it was. I shouldn't have been surprised; They have always been stylish. Felix wore fancy socks that coordinated with his tie before it was a thing, and Haruka is always polished and put together, even two weeks postpartum. Our time together was easy and fun and made me extra grateful for this incredible job I have and the kind people I have met in Sacramento.
